Farid’s Global Expansion and Vision

With the new funding, Farid plans to expand beyond Egypt, entering global markets such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The startup has already formed strategic partnerships with numerous Egyptian schools and is now eyeing international opportunities. According to CEO and Founder Mahmoud Hussein, the funds will be used to expand Farid’s platform, create new training content, and hire additional employees and trainers to support the company’s growth trajectory. A key part of Farid’s expansion plan involves increasing its subscriber base by targeting 20,000 new subscribers over the next two years. The startup also aims to train 10,000 graduates to become certified trainers by 2030, helping to further the company’s mission of supporting personal and psychological development for young people.

Farid has distinguished itself in the EdTech space by focusing on character education and mental health support for children and adolescents aged 3 to 18. Farid’s success comes at a time when other Egyptian EdTech startups are also making waves. Competitors such as iSchool and Sprints have recently secured significant funding to scale their operations, with Sprints expanding into 10 new markets and training over 200,000 learners in essential tech skills. These developments highlight the growing competition in the EdTech sector, both within Egypt and across the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Farid’s recent achievement of being named one of the top 100 startups at the LEAP2024 conference in Riyadh further validates the company’s potential as a leading player in the region’s EdTech landscape. With the company now looking to expand into key Gulf markets, Farid is well-positioned to capitalize on the region’s demand for cutting-edge educational solutions.
