MTN Group, one of Africa’s leading mobile network operators, has teamed up with UK-based video software provider Synamedia to create an innovative streaming platform tailored to mobile and fixed broadband subscribers across the continent. The new service promises a unique blend of linear TV and video-on-demand content, aiming to transform digital content access for African audiences.

MTN’s partnership with Synamedia marks a significant step in enhancing digital content accessibility across Africa. The service will offer a variety of monetisation models, including subscriptions, ad-supported content, and free streaming channels with targeted advertising. This approach aims to meet the diverse needs of African consumers while delivering locally relevant content that resonates with different cultures and languages across the continent.
