Rohan Patil, the regional manager for East Africa at Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, was personally recognized at the Connected Africa Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya. Patil’s involvement in a high-level panel discussion and his contributions towards shaping Africa’s digital transformation earned him special acknowledgement during the event.

The summit, hosted by the Kenyan Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, served as a platform for African tech leaders, policymakers, investors, and businesses to collaborate on the future of Africa’s digital economy. The event brought together stakeholders to explore how Africa can leverage digital technologies to enhance its economic landscape.

Patil joined a plenary session titled “Manufacturing, Green, and Circular Economy” alongside notable figures, including Burundi’s ICT Minister Léocadie Ndacayisaba, Lesotho’s Permanent Secretary for ICT, Kanono Ramashamole, and Uganda’s Communications Commission Chairperson, Dorothy Okello. The panel explored the role of smart technologies in modern manufacturing and industry.

During his presentation, Patil highlighted Vertiv’s cutting-edge innovations in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with dynamic grid support, and the integration of AI, IoT, and edge computing. These solutions are essential for driving sustainable digital transformation and advancing industries across Africa.

One of the event’s highlights was the Connected ICT Innovation Awards, which celebrated innovators and entrepreneurs advancing Africa’s ICT ecosystem. Patil was honoured with an award for his involvement in the summit and his overall contribution to the future of Africa’s digital economy.
