ARM-Harith Welcomes Rachel More-Oshodi as New CEO in Strategic Leadership Shift

Leading pan-African private equity firm, ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investments, has named Mrs. Rachel More-Oshodi as its Chief Executive Officer, effective March 2024. Following her tenure as Deputy Vice President Commercial Sales & Specialties at Africa Total Energies, Rachel brings an extensive background in finance, infrastructure, and energy to her new role. Her dual French and U.S. citizenship, coupled with her Cameroonian origin, enriches ARM-Harith’s commitment to diverse and Pan-African leadership.

Having held pivotal positions, including Head of Infrastructure Finance, West Africa at Rand Merchant Bank, and with experience at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IaDB), Rachel is poised to steer ARM-Harith into its next phase of growth.

The Board has concurrently appointed Mr. Jobalo Oshikanlu as Deputy CEO of the Fund Manager, effective January 1, 2024. A stalwart member of the ARM-Harith team, Jobalo’s over 25 years of experience in commercial legal, infrastructure finance, and private equity positions him as a strategic asset to the fund. His elevation from Executive Director for Legal & Investments underscores ARM-Harith’s commitment to nurturing African talent.

Rachel, in accepting the role, articulated her dedication to leveraging infrastructure and renewable energy for catalyzing economic growth across Africa. She emphasized the unique opportunity to enact meaningful change, aligning passion with purpose.

The appointment is pending regulatory requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission and relevant authorities.

Rachel’s professional journey spans over two decades, marked by transformative projects across emerging markets. Her core competencies in deal sourcing and structuring, corporate strategy, project finance, and impact investing have contributed to executing over US$7 billion worth of transformative projects globally.

Beyond her corporate endeavors, Rachel is the Founder of Ruwah, a tech-enabled educational and financial platform with a mission to impart the next generation skills. Her commitment extends to serving as a Non-Executive Board Member and an Angel Investor, strategically steering and financially empowering companies and startups across the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors in Africa.
