Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) has announced the appointment of nine new partners to its West African firms, with six of the appointees being Nigerians. This strategic move highlights KPMG’s continued focus on leadership development and excellence across the region.

The announcement was made via a post on KPMG Nigeria’s official LinkedIn account on Tuesday, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to nurturing top talent within its ranks. The new partners, recognized for their exceptional client service, leadership abilities, and deep professional expertise, will play critical roles in strengthening KPMG’s wide range of service offerings across West Africa.

A Commitment to Leadership Excellence

The statement from KPMG emphasised the importance of these appointments, noting that the firm’s growing leadership team would further enhance its ability to meet the needs of clients and maintain its reputation for delivering high-quality, trusted services across the region. 

“KPMG is pleased to announce the appointment of nine (9) new partners to our firms in West Africa with effect from 1 October 2024. Our new partners are outstanding professionals with a proven track record of excellent client service. They are leaders in their fields representing the diverse range of our service offerings across geographies and are passionate about our values. These Partnership admissions enhance the strength of our firms in West Africa and support our vision of being the most trusted and trustworthy professional services firm, focused on the needs of our people, clients, and society,” the statement read in part.

The New Partners

The appointments include six Nigerian professionals and three from Ghana, reflecting KPMG’s commitment to diversity in leadership across West Africa. The appointees bring a wealth of experience in various sectors and will be crucial in driving the firm’s service delivery in the region.

• Oludayo Adeniji – Tax, Regulatory & People Services, Nigeria

• Samuel Asiyanbola – Advisory Services, Nigeria

Ghanaian Appointees:

• Caroline Anokye – Audit Services, Ghana

• Gordon Dardey – Tax, Regulatory & People Services, Ghana

• Justina Amartey-Kwei – Tax, Regulatory & People Services, Ghana
